LINKS North Kingstown

Founded in 1970, LINKS is a nonprofit organization that recruits, trains, places and supports parent, community and business volunteers to enhance the educational experience of students in all North Kingstown Public Schools, thereby better preparing students for life's challenges, opportunities and career choices.

 

LINKS overseas four major programs:
 

• The NK Mentoring Program 
  LINKS ​Mentors are caring adults who positively influence young people’s lives through weekly one-to-one meetings.
   

• The Academic Guides​ Program
  LINKS responds to the needs of teachers by linking volunteers to the North Kingstown school classrooms thus enhancing the already existing academic programs.
   

• The PTRC (Parent Teacher Resource Center)​
  LINKS volunteers create visual aides for teachers and students to reference in the classrooms.
   

• BCI Administration
  LINKS manages the background check process for all volunteers in the NK Schools​​.
